Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Author Guidelines
Declaration of competing interest
Authors are expected to reveal any financial and personal relationships with other people or organizations that could otherwise influence their findings. Possible areas of disagreements are: consultancy services, offer of grants and other incentives, patents, shares, bonds, employment, consultancies, shares and stock ownership in concerned companies paid expert testimony, offer of employment. Please use the aforementioned variables as guides to completing “conflict of interest” section
Submission Declaration and Verification
Articles published in other avenues will not be accepted. However, abstracts, thesis, dissertations, projects and lectures are exempted.
Style and format
Use Bookman old style font throughout your manuscript. Use double line spacing and 3cm for all margins. Symbols, units, and abbreviations Use SI units throughout. Define all abbreviations after their first citation. Use the conventions of The CSE Manual for Authors, Editors, and Publishers, the Scientific Style and
Format and the Council of Science Editors, Reston, VA, USA (7th ed.).
Italicize all et al. Spell out all whole numbers one to nine, however number 10 onwards should be stated in numerals. Allow for spaces between numbers and units e.g. 1 cm, between numbers and mathematical symbols such as ×, -, +, =, <, >. Do not leave spaces between percentage symbols and numbers like 45%
References
Use APA Reference style and DOI format.
Formatting requirements
Utilize Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Conclusions, Artwork and Tables with Captions. Videos and other Supplementary material can also be submitted.
Figures and Tables
Title of table should be placed at the top and titles of figures be placed at the bottom. Summaries of tables and figures should follow them immediately.
Peer review
The editor-In-Chief determines whether or not a manuscript is fit for publication even before allowing it to undergo the review process. This journal operates a single anonymized review process. All submitted articles will be peer reviewed.
Format for Preparation of manuscript
Abstract
A good abstract should consist of the background and aim of the research, the methods utilized, main findings/results and contribution to knowledge. Sources of methods used need to be stated. The abstract should not be more than 300 words.
Graphical abstract (Optional)
Present a graphical abstract whenever possible in order to diligently summarize the article using pictorials so as to draw the interest of the reader.
Keywords
Provide a keyword of at least five words of phrases related to your topic after the abstract.
Title page information
Name(s). Itemize names of all authors' and their affiliations. Include their emails.
Title
Should be concisely and informative. Not more than 19 words.
Author names and affiliations
Please clearly indicate a full address of all the authors and the e-mail of the corresponding author should be clearly identified.
Introduction
It should contain the objectives, background, research gap, impact, implications and aim of the research.
Review of Related Studies and Basic Theory
Brief literature review,
Materials and methods
Present details of methods used so that it can be repeated by other researchers. Provide all sources of methods used. Instrumentation, deployed data and all empirical and statistical models should be presented here.
Results and Discussion
The Results should be clearly presented and discussed in this section. Its a concise representation of your findings. It should not contain references. It should be an extrapolation and not a repeat the results. State reasons behind each of your findings, their impact and implications.
Conclusions
It should represent categorical statements of the major findings and not questions and or recommendations. Comparison of results with previous studies could be made to justify the research gap being filled.
Appendices
This should be numbered in roman numerals and be presented in the form of A, B, etc. Formulae and equations in appendices are to be presented with separate numbering such as Eq. (A.1), Eq. (A.2), Eq. (B.1), Eq. C1 etc. And Table
A.1, A.2, A.3, A.4 or Figure A.1, A.2, B.1, C.1, D1 to represent tables and figures respectively.
Acknowledgements
This is a specific enumeration of people, companies etc. that have in one way and another facilitated your research.
Formatting of funding sources
List funding sources in this standard way to facilitate compliance to funder's requirements:
Funding: This work was supported by TetFund, Federal and State governments, the National Institutes of Health [grant numbers xxxx, yyyy];
It is not necessary to include detailed descriptions on the program or type of grants and awards. State the name(s) of the funding source that is available to either a university, college of education, polytechnic, or other research institutions.
A research that did not receive any form of funding should be depicted as:
'This research did not receive any specific grant from funding agencies in the public, private, commercial, NGOs etc.
Nomenclature and units
Always use the international system of units (SI) and their equivalents. You are urged to consult the IUPAC: Nomenclature of Organic Chemistry.
Math formulae
Please submit math equations as editable text and not as images. Present simple formulae in line with normal text where possible and use the solidus (/) instead of a horizontal line for small fractional terms, e.g., X/Y. Provide variables in italicized form. Represent powers of e by exp. Consecutively number all equations that needs to be presented separately from the text (if referred to explicitly in the text).
Footnotes
Footnotes should be numbered consecutively in the article. Always present footnotes separately at the end of a paragraph or the article.
Citation in text
Please ensure that every reference cited in the text is also present in the reference list (and vice versa). Any references cited in the abstract must be given in full.
You are not encouraged to include unpublished results and personal communications in the reference section. However, if it becomes necessary to include them, they should follow the APA reference style and be presented as either 'Unpublished results' or 'Personal communication'. Any article that has been accepted for publication can be presented as 'in press'.
Web references
Provide the full URL, the date of access, DOI etc.
Reference List
References should include: author name(s), year, dataset title, data repository, version (where available), and global persistent identifier.
Reference formatting
Where applicable, author(s) name(s), journal title/book title, chapter title/article title, year of publication, volume number/book chapter and the article number or pagination must be present. Use of DOI is highly encouraged.
Reference style
Text:
Indicate references by number(s) in square brackets in line with the text. Always refer to actual authors and provide reference number(s). Example: '... for easy access [1,9]. Umar and Kogi [8] reported a higher prevalence of ...'
List:
You may number the references (numbers in square brackets) in the reference list in the order in which they appear in the text. Example:

Supplementary material
Supplementary material such as applications, images and sound clips, can be published with your article for better enhancement. Provide a concise, descriptive caption for each supplementary file.
Please include any associated raw data or its link to enable the Editor to properly assess your paper.

Submission
The Corresponding author submits the Word (.doc, .docx, .rtf) manuscript through the journal’s online manuscript tracking system at: www.fjorae.fudutsinma.edu.ng. The manuscript should also be sent via e-mail to: raenergy@fudutsinma,ebu.ng
Concurrent submissions
In order to ensure sufficient diversity within the authorship of the journal, only two manuscripts from the same author(s) will be under review for publication in the same journal volume and number at any point in time.
Article Processing Charges
The journal charges a non-refundable submission fee of five thousand naira only (#5,000) which should be paid with the submission of the article. Upon acceptance of the article after review process, an Article Processing Fees of =N=20,000, will be paid by author(s). This is to allow the publisher to make articles immediately available online to anyone to read and reuse, upon publication.
Proofs
Corrected proofs must be returned to the journal within three to five days of receipt. The publisher will do everything possible to ensure prompt publication.
Appeals
You may appeal if you feel that the decision to reject your manuscript may be based on: i) a major misunderstanding over a technical aspect of the manuscript, or ii) a failure to understand the scientific advance shown by the manuscript.
